Danni's White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies

These salty & sweet thangs come from Cookies and Cups blog page, and they were perfect.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter; melted & browned
  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract 
  • 1 1/4 cups white chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cups roughly chopped Macadamia nuts

 

Directions:

  1. In medium saucepan, melt butter on med-low heat. Once melted, continue to cook AND stir until the butter is an amber color. Remove from heat and cool for 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven 350 degrees. Use a silicone mat to line a baking sheet.
  3. In large bowl stir together the flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.
  4. Add both the sugars to the browned butter, stir to combine. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Pour the butter mixture into the flour and stir until combined.
  6. Stir in the white chips and the nuts and until evenly throughout the dough.
  7. Using a big spoon, (2 tbs), portion the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8-12 minutes, until golden.
  9. Transfer to a wire rack to completely cool.
