I've had this once and decided I need to know how to make it. So I did.
Ingredients:
- 2 Chicken breasts; cooked and shredded
- 12 oz bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- Italian blend cheese, (mozzarella, parmesan, provolone)
- shredded Parmesan (for topping the bread)
- Ceasar dressing
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cup warm water
- 2 1/4 tsp. active yeast
- 2 tbs. olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbs. sugar
Directions:
- I cooked the chicken and bacon first. I seasoned both sides of the chicken with garlic salt, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, paprika and cumin. I baked the chicken for 40-45 minutes and then shredded it. Bacon, crispy and crumbled.
- Mix water, sugar and yeast. Let sit until frothy, about 7 minutes.
- Add in flour, salt, oregano, garlic powder and olive oil. Knead or mix until smooth. Cover and let it rise for an hour or until doubled in size.
- Before cutting dough, get meat mixture ready. Add the crumbled bacon to the cooked chicken and mix. Add in some Italian cheese and a few good squirts of dressing and mix again.
- Now, uncover dough, punch it down once and split into three equal parts. Roll each one into a large rectangle.
- Onto the flattened dough, add chicken & bacon mix, spread evenly in a line, add a good amount of cheese and then add Ceasar dressing over the cheese.
- Fold up one side, then tuck in both ends and fold over the other side nice and tight. Pinch seems together.
- On a grease baking sheet, place the rolled masterpiece on it, seem side down.
- In a small bowl add Ceasar dressing and a bit of water, stir until blended well. Brush on the tops of bread. Add more parmesan cheese to the top.
- Bake in oven at 400 degrees for 20-22 minutes.
- Remove from oven and brush melted butter, parsley and parmesan on top.
