We really have to stop buying frozen fucking food. Make these for your kids or yourself, mostly yourself.
Ingredients:
- Wonton wrappers
- Italian style shredded cheese
- Cheddar cheese shredded
- pepperoni slices
- tomato paste
- tomato sauce
- olive oil
- minced garlic
- garlic powder, oregano, parsley, salt, pepper, red chili flakes and onion powder
- oil for frying
Directions:
- Make pizza sauce by combining the minced garlic and a bit of olive oil. Cook garlic until browned. Add in tomato sauce, tomato paste and seasonings. Once it starts bubbling, turn down to simmer. Make sure the sauce is cooled before using.
- Cheese should be shredded. Finely dice the pepperoni slices and add them to the cheese. Once sauce is completely cooled, add to cheese and pepperoni. Mix well.
- In a small bowl add some water to wet your fingers.
- Take one wonton wrapper and place it down. Dip your index finger in the bowl of water and brush each edge of the wrapper with your fingertip.
- Take a small scoop of pizza mixture (less than a tablespoon) and place it in the middle of the wrapper. Take the edge closest to you and fold to the middle of the wrapper. Press down gently over sauce but firmly on the ends. Dip finger and press and brush the ends and folded side.
- Take the other edge and fold on top of the other already folded part. Press gently but firmly. Brush with more water.
- Now fold both ends into the wrapper. Brush with water, press closed.
- Repeat.
- In a deep saucepan, add Canola oil and put on medium heat. Once oil is hot add about 4 pizza rolls at a time.
- Cook until golden, some pizza guts will pop out, it's okay.
