It's pretty much sugar cookies covered in sprinkles.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 room temp egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1 tbs. milk
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Nonpareils sprinkles (a lot, at least a whole small bottle 3.5 oz)
Directions:
- Cream together softened butter and sugar in a large until smooth.
- Add in egg and mix again.
- Add in the almond extract, the vanilla extract and milk while mixing. Combine well.
- In a different bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk together.
- Add the flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time to make sure all gets mixed in. Scrape down sides also.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Either grease a baking sheet or use a silicone mat.
- In a bowl, dump your sprinkles.
- Use a tablespoon scoop to measure out your cookie dough balls. Should be a little more than a tablespoon. Place onto baking sheet.
- Use your fingers to gently press them down some. Thick or thin, it does not matter. (Watch your timing now.)
- Roll/coat your flattened out cookie dough in the sprinkles. You want them nicely covered too. Place back onto baking sheet.
- Bake for 17-20 minutes.
- Once done, let cool on sheet for two minutes. After, place on to rack for complete cooling.
