Danni's Deep-Fried Cheesecake Bites

These literally melt in your mouth, one after another. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cheesecake (store bought or homedid) 
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying 
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Chocolate sauce or a berry sauce for optional topping

Directions:

  1. Cut cheesecake into bite size pieces and freeze them for at least one hour. Longer is better though!
  2. In a medium bowl combine the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
  3. In a different bowl mix together the wet ingredients, the milk and egg. Gradually add the milk mixture to the flour mixture, stir while doing so to form a batter.
  4. In a deep fryer or saucepan add vegetable oil and heat to 350 degrees.
  5. Dip each piece cheesecake into the batter, turning and flipping to make sure it is covered on all sides.
  6. Carefully place the coated cheesecake into the HOT OIL. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Drain on a rack or paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
  8. Optional but you definitely should add chocolate sauce ass a topping or side dip.
