I give this classic dish a 7. I love meatballs though.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- breadcrumbs
- minced garlic
- 1 egg
- minced-ish colored bell pepper
- BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard
- Box of spaghetti noodles
- spaghetti sauce
- parmesean cheese shredded
- shredded Colby jack cheese
- Cumin, garlic salt, garlic powder, minced onion, paprika, cayenne pepper, chili powder, onion powder, parsley, Italian seasoning and black pepper
Directions:
- Spray a cupcake tin with nonstick and set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees also.
- To a medium mixing bowl add the beef, about 1/3 cup breadcrumbs, 1 egg, a squirt of each sauce, the bell pepper and garlic, and all the seasonings. Mix with your hands and mix well. Once mixed, form into golf balls and set one in each cup. There should be about 16.
- Top each meatball with a squirt of BBQ sauce and bake in oven for 15 minutes. Then flip them and bake again for another 15 minutes.
- While the meatballs are cooking, cook and drain the pasta.
- In large non-stick skillet add the spaghetti sauce and turn on medium. Then add the meatballs, gently flip them around to make sure they are covered with sauce on all sides. Cook for a few minutes.
- Remove meatballs to dish and place in oven to keep warm.
- Place pasta in remaining sauce in the skillet and stir to combine. Plate spaghetti, then shredded cheese, the meatballs and finally parmesan cheese.
