If you buy a box cake, you'll save a whopping 30 minutes! 😂
Ingredients:
- Box of Yellow Cake mix
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can coconut milk
- (optional) 1/2 cup Coconut cream, or Whole Milk
- 1 container Cool whip
- sliced strawberries
Directions:
- Bake your cake as directed first. After it is done, let it rest for 5 minutes.
- In microwave safe bowl heat up the can of coconut milk for 30 seconds.
- Stir in the entire can of sweetened condensed milk, entire can of evaporated milk and 1/2 cup of either coconut cream OR whole milk. Stir well.
- After cake has rested for at least 5 minutes, use a chopstick and poke holes all over the cake. It will look like you're ALMOST ruining it, but you're not..and don't.
- Once poked, take it very slowly while pouring the milk mixture over the entire cake. Too fast and it will cave in. This will/should take at least 3 minutes. USE ALL THE MILK. ALL OF IT.
- Once milk has been poured, place the cake back in the OFF oven for 10 minutes.
- After that, remove cake and let it chill on the counter for a few minutes. The cover well and set in the fridge for 4-6 hours, the longer the better.
- When ready, cover heavily in cool whip or whatever you use.
- You can top with any fruit, but I always use Strawberries when I have them.
