Danni's Baked/Non-baked Spaghetti

It's baked and so am I.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1.5 lb. Penne
  • 3 celery stalks
  • 1 white or yellow onion
  • 1-2 bell peppers
  • 1 package of mushrooms
  • 1 jar of sauce of choice
  • 1 can of green beans (drained)

 

  • garlic cloves (your heart's desire)
  • Onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper
  • shredded Colby Jack cheese
  • parmesan cheese 

Directions:

  1. Chop all veggies, mince garlic and set aside.
  2. Cook ground beef in a deep skillet, halfway through cooking add vegetables and garlic. Finish cooking.
  3. Cook packaged pasta al dente, drain.
  4. Once beef mix is done, add spaghetti sauce and a dash of sugar, let simmer for 7-10 minutes.
  5. (OPTIONAL STEP) Preheat oven to 350 degrees for a baked spaghetti dish. 
  6. In a 9x13 dish, layer sauce, pasta and shredded cheese until gone. give it a light stir and top with Parmesan and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
  7. You know how to eat spaghetti if you're not baking it like the others. 
  8. DEFINITELY serve garlic bread (I have a recipe listed for rolls) or a simple salad with this!
