Danni's Lemon Bars

A dessert prepared by the Angels, me.

Ingredients for Crust:

  • 2 sticks butter (cut into pieces & room temp)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Ingredients for Filling:

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 6 tbs all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbs fresh lemon juice (2 lemons)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a 9x13 baking dish with foil, butter foil. 
  3. Make the crust, whisk together flour, powdered sugar and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Cut in butter with finger to make a crumbly dough; press into foiled baking dish.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, then transfer to cool area. 
  6. Make filling, mix eggs, sugar and flour with a fork. Mix in Lemon juice.
  7. Pour filling over crust and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. After, transfer to cooling rack and let it cool completely.
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, lift out of pan and cut into squares.
