It's all in the crispiness of the Shrimp & really, the Sweetened Condensed Milk.
Ingredients for Shrimp:
- 1 lb. jumbo shrimp (raw)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup cornstarch (to start with, you may need another batch)
- oil for frying
Ingredients for Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Mayo
- 4 tbs Sweetened Condensed milk
- 3 tbs Honey
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 - 1/2 tsp Red Pepper flakes
Directions:
- Clean & devein shrimp.
- In medium bowl, beat eggs and set aside.
- In medium bowl mix together cornstarch, salt & pepper.
- Dip shrimp into eggs and then into dry mix.
- Oil should be at 375' for frying.
- Fry for 2-4 minutes on each side, set aside on draining rack when done.
- In smallish (microwave safe) bowl add sauce ingredients. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir well after.
- Pour over shrimp & toss, or gently stir.
You had better of made some rice to go with this too. Put Shrimp over rice and enjoy!
