Just as good as the sandwich place. 😉
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- slices of mozzarella and provolone cheese
- Sub sandwich bread
- parsley
- veggies of choice
- breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- ketchup & mustard
- garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt & pepper
Directions:
- In large bowl, combine ground beef, seasonings. ketchup, mustard, egg and breadcrumbs. Mix well.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Form meatballs, about the size of golf balls. Add them to muffin tin or a baking sheet. Add a squirt of ketchup on the top of each one. Bake for 12 minutes on each side.
- Once meatballs are done, (keep oven on); in a large skillet add marinara sauce and meatballs. (Medium-low heat) Coat well.
- Add provolone and mozzarella slices to the top of meatballs, still in skillet. Cover and reduce heat.
- Slice sub bread but not all the way through and lay on a baking sheet. Add some more slices of cheese, add meatballs and some extra sauce. Add toppings.
- Place in oven for 5-7 minutes.
